About us

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for a change. The goal? To create a fun, family friendly, community focused event while also supporting local small businesses. To offer a space where people can gather, enjoy good food and spend time together.

Market creator, Courtney Rietman, had been to other local markets and enjoyed the atmosphere they were able to create. After a few years of thinking about what if, she put action behind her idea.

The first step? Find a location for the market. After seeing a Facebook post on Wagoner Power Equipment's page, she sent the business a message with her idea. Quentin Wagoner, owner of Wagoner Power Equipment, agreed to a meeting to discuss the idea of a market.

After hammering out the details and putting in some hard work behind the scenes, the Englewood Market was born!

History of the Market

The Englewood Market made its debut in the fall of 2022, with two markets that year (September and October). In 2023, the market season expanded to include six dates. Starting in 2024, the market holds nine events each season, starting in March and ending in November.

The Market has become a family affair between the Rietman and Wagoner families. They have enjoyed watching the market grow, appreciate the support of the community, and look forward to many more market seasons to come!

Wagoner Power Equipment

Wagoner Power Equipment has become the Home of the Englewood Market. They are a long-standing Englewood business which was opened in 1965 by Glen and Judy Wagoner. Originally, a garden and landscaping business, they expanded to selling Lawn Boy lawn mowers in 1974. Over the years, the Wagoner's added in more equipment brands, including Stihl which is their main brand today. In 1997, brothers Quentin and Terry Wagoner, began overseeing the management of the business. In 2002, Wagoner Power Equipment became fully focused on selling equipment with the closer of the garden center. Currently, Quentin and Terry are owners of the business and very involved in the community.
